Mike Pattison,

Director of Business Applications

As Director of Business Applications, Mike Pattison is responsible for leading projects in the business application vertical. Mike brings over 35 years of business, manufacturing, engineering, sales/marketing, project management and senior IT leadership to Centivity. His areas of expertise include Business IT alignment (BITA), business process simulation, analysis and improvement, IT leadership consulting, chemical industry CIO consulting, process engineering management, Industrial laboratory management, IT vendor relations consulting, and industrial systems integration consulting.

Prior to joining Centivity, Mike served various project management and engineering roles with Dow Chemical; Kaiser Aluminum; Hoechst; IBM; and Aspen Technology. He also spent 11 years as the IT Director at Sterling Chemicals, providing overall IT leadership for the corporation, process control group, and process engineering and manufacturing labs. In Addition, Mike founded and currently serves as the Managing Director of StrAIT Advisors, a simulator-based business process consulting company whose mission is the reduction of client costs by simplifying and streamlining their business processes.

Mike's continues to engage with clients in efforts to help with the alignment of their technology, business, and manufacturing systems. That alignment includes manufacturing systems to business systems, IT operations to best practice frameworks emphasizing relationships and business processes to business objectives.

Mike earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Oklahoma and is an active member of the following organizations: American Institute of Chemical Engineers; Society of Petroleum Engineers; Instrument Society of America; Project Management Institute; Society for Information Management; Greater Houston Partnership; American Marketing Association; American Management Association; American Society of Media Photographers; Professional Photographers of America; National Association of Photoshop Professionals; Stock Artist Alliance; Houston Strategic Forum; and TechExecs.
